Pisceans are sensitive souls. They are the introspective dreamers of the zodiac. They tend to have a compassionate heart for others who are struggling, whether it be fellow humans, or furry friends. They are a water sign that feels at peace, and at home by the water.
I have created two pieces in the zodiac collection that feature a sterling silver Pisces symbol and a gemstone that resonates strongly with this sign. They are symbolic and meaningful expressions of the Pisces soul, and they are beautiful birthday gifts!
I will outline more about the gemstone jewelry I have created, and the common qualities that are associated with Pisces.
Pisces is represented by a symbol of two fish that are swimming in opposite directions. This implies a duality about the Pisces nature, much like the dual nature of Gemini that is represented by the symbol of the twins. I have heard it said that the fish swimming in opposite directions suggests the potential for Pisces to reach great heights in their life, and in their field of interest (i.e. Albert Einstein was a Piscean genius) or that they could sink to the depths within themselves, and succumb to internal doubts. All Pisceans do not fall into either one, or the other, of these two scenarios. It simply shows the wide range of their potential.
I have mentioned before that there are many variables in someone’s birth chart. How these variables interact overall influences the degree to which qualities are manifested. I outline some of the more common qualities that are associated with the sign of Pisces.
- Element: Water
- Symbol: Two Fish - Swimming in opposite directions.
- Modality: Mutable
- Very sensitive to feelings, environments, “vibes”
- Imaginative dreamer, loves fantasy, at times escapist tendencies.
- Artistically inclined. Lover of all things that inspire their heart and soul.
- Intuitive, empath, psychic tendencies
- Interest in mysteries, metaphysical subjects
- Romantic, gentle souls
Gemstones for Pisces
Some gemstones that have a strong resonance with Pisces are aquamarine, amethyst, turquoise, fluorite, ocean jasper, blue lace agate, jade, peridot, sunstone, sapphire, labradorite, amber, moonstone, ametrine, chrysoprase, calcite, smithsonite etc.
I chose aquamarine as the main gemstone to work with for the Pisces pieces. I will outline the energetic properties of aquamarine, and the aquamarine pieces that are part of the collection.
It has been said that aquamarine was believed to be the treasure of mermaids, and was used by sailors as a talisman for good luck and protection. Today it is thought of as an excellent crystal to wear while travelling long distances by sea, air, or road.
The following quote by Elizabeth Taylor illustrates the Piscean sentiment and their journey very well. The ups and downs, the problems and stress, along with all the happiness, have given me optimism and hope because I am living proof of survival.” Elizabeth Taylor.
For many Pisceans, the road isn’t always easy because they FEEL so much and internalize a lot of their emotions. The good news is that when they get through their struggles, their compassionate nature makes them even MORE willing to share what they have learned and overcome with others. They really do embody the desire to live in a peaceful world that is filled with love and hope for all.
